[vacation] sfo + hawai'i
*writes about winter break after spring break already passed*
DEN -> SFO
wine tasting places at napa valley!
of course, muji haul was necessary
17 mile road shenanigans! we saw seals at one point, but the pics are very bad quality and buried under a sea of pretty ocean pics ;-)
we went to some asian american art museum but it wasn't particularly interesting i have to say :(
boba guys! very aesthetic shop that me and my sister failed to realize would not be open in a certain place, so we walked one in a different area for this. i got matcha iced bubble tea :( honestly wasn't that impressed but the service was great and someday... i will try the OG almond ouo
my sis thought that this sign was funny, because it was a fancy house looking museum type in Japantown, and then there's just a sign here telling you to pick up your dog's poop
can't drink but can appreciate the pretty frosted glasses
i think this was... chocolate banana mousse pie?
bi-rite ice cream! lots of people were waiting outside in the cold
this was korean-japanese sort of also american fusion!
lots of doggos here, but these shibes with their little scarves took the cake!
plane from SFO -> HNL
honomanu bay wow i saw lots of fish, an eel, a cute lil turtle super close! i followed the turtle a bit (back though because apparently they can drown if you're too close and they don't feel comfortable going up for air!!!) and got to watch it come up for air with its cute lil nostrils!!!
the quality of the coral reef here was kind of sad though, because the water is very shallow, it is very easy to accidentally scrape against the coral. i did my best to not, but i did touch it and was forced to step down a few times in less than great spots :( considering how many visitors it gets, only makes sense that that a lot of the coral is suffering.

boat trip out to snorkel! saw 5 turtles and some striped fish. my dad bought an underwater camera but the pictures taken were truly terrible and extremely green haha.
& i'm done cause this post was supposed to be published in like january and honestly i can't remember any details that i did not add back two and a half months again haha
