hello world it has been a Long Time. Back at it again with a review from another indie makeup brand! I actually did get this back... in summer 2017.... so... yeah. Anyways, I'm hoping to transform this blog into more lifestyle than review only, but it seems like.. all the stuff I have coming up are reviews. I'll be doing a makeup consumerism post and a shop my stash as well as makeup rehab goals update hopefully! I've really been loving Anti-Haul blog recently! Also if you haven't seen Black Panther yet, please go see it! It's such a great movie.

Looxi has an annual birthday sale where everything is 50% off. My order should have been $67.50 + $2.99 shipping, but the final was $36.75 + $2.99 shipping, for a total of $39.74. As of now, she has free shipping on US orders $40+. I got 6 highlighters and 3 eyeshadows. They usually also have a Black Friday 50% off sale as well.

Since it's been many months... I can give you an actual comprehensive review about my thoughts on Looxi products.

Stripped: white based pink shift
An absolute favorite of mine to use in the inner corner. I've noticed that most of Looxi's highlighters have a slightly gritty texture that forms hard pan easily. However, they're still relatively easy to use, apply, and look beautiful.

Ever After: white based purple shift
Destashed actually to a friend, because it looked similar to both Charmed and Pandora. Nothing bad to say about this, but it did have powder kickup that would dust the inside of my magnetic palette.

Voodoo: white based green shift
Another favorite, especially for a more unusual highlight/inner corner shade. Same thoughts as above.

Charmed: purple blue duochrome
I enjoy using this shade not only as a highlight but also on the eyes in the center as a pop of color. It's a very nice 'transformer' shade. I'd say that the texture of Charmed is better than the other shades.

Pandora: silvery white shift
The worst shade I received. It was in the big compact, and I was very excited for this color. It would actually crumble out of the pan, and I ended up depotting it and trying to repress it. It was so chunky and glittery to use that I finally gave up and threw it away. I repurposed the compact by putting a magnetic sheet on the bottom, and I can use it as a quick touch-up/travel palette, so it wasn't a total bust, I guess.

Valley Girl: peachy coral with gold glitter
I use Valley Girl as a highlighting blush. I didn't notice any particular emphasizing of my skin texture or pore. It does have gold glitter in it, much like Nars' famous Orgasm blush, but I do like this shade a lot. I have also used it on my eyes, and find it looks great too.

Sorbet: creamsicle matte shadow
This shadow is good, but nothing special IMO. I like the texture better than that of the Devinah mattes, and think the color is pretty. It's one of my four workhouse neutral shades (along with MUG Beaches & Cream, ColourPop Side Tracked, MUG Frappe).

Peachy Keen: gold with pink green shift
This is an aurora shadow that doesn't seem to be on the site anymore. I like it, but the texture is a bit strange. It applies very metallic and beautiful though.

Space Case: pink with green shift
Same as above, aurora shadow. These two are pretty similar though, so I didn't need both of them.  This one is kind of similar to Voodoo as well. I can't believe I bought 3 different shadows/highlighters with a green shift in one order ladjflkafdj. This is why I'm on a no buy.

Overall, I think that Looxi has good products if you want to support an indie brand. I like how their eyeshadows and highlighters are pressed, as I actually end up pressing most of my loose shadows rather than to have little pots hanging out in my drawers. I have heard one bad experience about their CS on reddit unfortunately, but it seemed to have been resolved. I don't think they're absolutely necessary products, but if you're looking for weird colored highlighters that don't break the bank, it's a great way to try out some fun colors.
