mishibox
Hi everyone! I'm back with a review from the lovely MishiBox! MishiBox sells not only a Korean beauty subscription box, but also has a variety of products in their online store. Although I was sent a free box for review, all of my opinions will be unbiased and honest!
It is very affordable, costing only $19.95/month (+free shipping for the US)! You get a combination of 4 - 6 carefully curated deluxe-sized samples and full-sized Korean beauty products. You receive a card with the product descriptions and usage instructions in English, and all their ingredients are available online.
I got 2 mini size items and 3 full size items! I was slightly disappointed that every item in this box seemed to be skincare related;; (Literally four of the items had "anti-aging" in their descriptions.) My skin is fairly decent with the minimal care I attempt, but others who are skincare gurus will probably really enjoy this month's box!
Hoika Hoika (Pig-Nose Clean Black Head 3-Step Kit)
- 1st and 3rd steps felt really nice on my skin, although the first stung at my nose slightly. The 2nd step... felt like I was wearing a pad on my face...
- 1st - opens pores. 2nd - deep blackhead remover. 3rd - minimizes pores.
- I didn't actually see that much of a difference on my nose, but then again, I don't have extreme blackheads.
- Satisfactory, cute packaging, but nothing special.
SNP (Bird's Nest Aqua Ampoule Mask)
- I gave this to my mom to try out haha. She really liked it and said it felt really nice and silky on her face. Her skin was so smooth after this ;u;
Saint Peau (Baobab Soft Peeling Gel)
- I, fortunately, am one of those people who can live with just splashing my face with water each morning. At most, I will use Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Acne Scrub every few days. I really have to say though, this peeling gel REALLY smoothed my skin out ahh.
- I kept on touching my cheeks and marveling at the baby buttness. I was worried that it might smell weird, because my mom buying random Asian lotions in flowery packaging has instilled a fear in me, but there's little to no scent :)
Enprani (Premiercell Skin Softener and Premiercell Emulsion)
- Currently, I have the blessed skin softness of a newborn baby ;___; (This phrase sounds weird, but for some reason, I can't fix it and still get the same meaning across orz)
- Both the softener and emulsion made my face super smooth and elastic! I went through a cheek pinching phase, but then discovered my own cheeks were the nicest to squish LOL. I didn't realize that my skin had felt dry and limp in comparison to after using this.
So adding up all of the products: $13 + $16 + $10 + $4 + $3 = $46 total value!! For only $19.95 a month, this was quite a bargain! I've taken a look at other boxes, and most of them have at least one object not focused on skincare: eg: eyeliner, haircare, nail polish and lip balm. Based on the info card though, it seems like they were really trying to prepare people for the colder weather (and as a result, dryer skin). Honestly I'm really glad I don't live in Beijing anymore ;___; My hands used to get so chapped because winters there were dry as a camel's butthole;; but I do miss all the food
I think after Christmas (aka when all my money goes into a black hole for buying people presents), and into the new year, I will probably purchase a subscription myself for MishiBox :) A huge thank you to MishiBox for sponsoring me, and a HUGE thank you to anyone who's read this far! I hope you're having a wonderful day, and if you're not, I hope it'll only get better ;u;Labels: mishibox, review, sponsored, subscription box
